1. Scanning area principle

Laser scanners operate on the principle of time-of-flight measurement. They emit short pulses and simultaneously run an "electronic stopwatch". When the light hits an object, it is reflected back and received by the laser scanner. From the time difference between the emission and reception points, the laser scanner calculates the distance to the object.
     

2. Flexible regional assessment

Detects the presence of an object in a predefined area. 16 area sets with 3 preconfigured areas each allow for quick and easy adjustment during operation. For even greater process reliability, individual area geometries or reference contour areas can also be defined for static contour monitoring. Digital filters, blanking sizes and response times can be defined so that the sensor is not affected by reflections and scattering from raindrops, snow or dust.
     

3. Regional adjustment is fast and convenient

Protection and warning zones can be flexibly adapted to the on-site environmental conditions around the machine. When environmental conditions change, the scanner can be quickly adjusted by reconfiguring.
 

4. Non-contact protection function

Safety mat alternative - the functional principle of the laser scanner does not require the use of force to detect falling objects (such as tools, workpieces) will not damage the protective device, reducing downtime and equipment maintenance time.
