1. Data storage function (simplifies sensor replacement during operation)
Equipped with data storage functionality, this system offers exceptional convenience when replacing sensors. The configured device parameters are stored both in the sensor and in the IO-Link master station. During operation, the device can directly replace the sensor without needing to reconfigure it—simply download the relevant parameters from the master station.

II. Reliable positioning function, simplifying maintenance
If a sensor requires maintenance or replacement, the integrated localization feature can quickly identify a specific sensor among multiple sensors in the factory. Based on the sensor’s unique parameters, the control system directs its attention to the sensor that needs to be located, after which the sensor identifies itself by flashing its LED indicator. This enhances data transparency throughout the factory and enables information to be transmitted directly down to the sensor level, thereby improving process efficiency.

III. Various diagnostic functions for efficient maintenance
The temperature indicator and timer are part of the diagnostic functions; these service data ensure reliable condition monitoring and scheduled maintenance. Manufacturer-specific event codes can be used for product-specific diagnostics—for example, when the lens on a photoelectric sensor is dirty or dusty.
