    I. Detection Principle

    Triangulation is one of the detection principles used in displacement sensors. The light emitted by the transmitter illuminates the workpiece, and the reflected light is then captured by the receiver. Typically, by extending the optical path length between the illuminated area and the photosensitive element (CMOS), it’s possible to achieve higher-precision and more stable measurement results. However, on the other hand, this approach also increases the sensor’s depth dimension and leads to a larger overall body size. The LS-D series features a novel optical system equipped with internal mirrors, which shortens the sensor’s depth dimension while still delivering high-precision measurements comparable to those of displacement sensors.

     
         

    II. Robust body, IP67 protection rating

    It features an aluminum die-cast housing that simultaneously balances lightweight design with high strength. Despite its compact size, the body is remarkably robust, thereby minimizing the impact of external factors such as casing deformation and temperature fluctuations on measurement accuracy.

         

    3. Equipped with super-resolution algorithms

    Based on the surface condition of the target workpiece, the system automatically performs ideal waveform processing. Even for previously difficult-to-detect workpieces such as thin metal wires and resins, stable detection can be achieved without any adjustments.

         

    IV. New Mode with Thickness Calibration Function

    Bring the sensor head of one side close to the workpiece, enter the thickness data, and press the SET button.   Bring the sensor head on the opposite side as close to the workpiece as in Step 1, then press the SET button.  

    Insert a workpiece that is thicker than the one used in Step 2, and enter the thickness data.

    Press the SET button to complete the calibration.

             

    5. Configure the concave distance counting filter function.

    This feature automatically identifies the edges of recesses and outputs the measurement for each recess in a single operation. In applications such as counting and seam detection, simple settings can be made without wasting time.

    Calculate the number of printed materials.

     

    Application scenarios
       
    Measure the amount of distortion in the iron ring material.   Check for the presence or absence of washers.   Check for the presence or absence of O-rings.
